This time it's all about creating your own crowd tools.<br />
<br />
In this course you will learn how to read clip data, play and blend clips in Vex, create digital assets, usable math concepts and some of the fundamental building block when creating non simulated crowds. This will give you the necessary skills to start building your own crowd tools in Houdini.
This is an advanced course and you will need an understanding of all the concepts from my previous courses to be able to follow along. <a href="https://bit.ly/3g1sfdu">Get it here!</a>

There is a bit of coding needed so I've included the project file to make it easier to follow along.<br />
<br />
<b>edit:</b> Koen Vroeijenstijn pointed out that it's must faster to use the string table for an attribute and then you don't have to check for duplicates. Here is a code snippet:<br />
<br />
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
geo=hou.node("./IN_shapes").geometry()</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
menuList=[]</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
attrib=geo.findPointAttrib("name")</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
names=attrib.strings()</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 14px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
for name in names:</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
menuList.append(name)</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">

<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 14px;">

I got his question a while back, so I decided to make a tutorial about it. This method also work for whatever constraint properties you want to animate.<br />

<div class="MsoNormal">
Houdini 17 is out and, although less exciting than Vellum,
has some nice workflow improvements for creating agent definitions. There are
also some improvements to the transition graph in 16.5 that aren’t mentioned in
any of my crowd courses, so I decided to add 2 short bonus chapters to Crowds
for Feature Film in Houdini that are free for anyone that owns the course. <o:p></o:p></div>

This October 3rd, come and join my masterclass about production tips to create CG crowds with Houdini at this year’s BFX Festival from Bournemouth University.
I will focus on how to set up production friendly scenes and how to avoid some of the pitfalls that I see a lot of crowd artists' fall into. Get the tickets <a href="http://bit.ly/2wBp2wG">here</a><br />
