XSI To Houdini: Find Point Neighbours

In this tutorial I'm showing the Houdini version of "Get Closest Points". I'm talking about how to look for neighbours in a point cloud and either average out the values or loop though them to do a specific operation. I also talk briefly about the Houdini equivalent of Get/Set Data and Rescale.

If there are any particular ICE nodes that you would like to have a tutorials for, let me know.

  1. Superb, thank you for showing the PC iterate.
I found the looping in VOP super criptic. I would love to have more examples of looping in an array : getting the PointPosition of point index N°0 on each Polygon / Primitive of a cube for example.

  2. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll make sure to put that on my list.

  3. Best pointcloud design i have ever seen. A point cloud is a lot of information focuses in space. Point mists are by and large delivered by 3D scanners, which measure countless focuses on the outside surfaces of items around them. Best pointcloud Vancouver, BC
